The fulfillment of and compliance with these definitions and quality standards form the recognition prerequisite for the predicate of medicinal springs, spas and resorts as climatic health resorts.

Surrounded by green meadows and deep forests, the original Black Forest village is now considered a climatic health resort for vacationers. Already in the 15th century, pilgrims appreciated this quality feature, passing along the place of pilgrimage. The circular hiking trail “the little Hansjakobsweg” in St. Roman is also a popular tour, where people like to stop here to take a deep breath.
